Join us on May 25th at 6:30 to 8:30 PM for Tango and Tapas at Monarch Events Center. You will not leave hungry! Besides our lovely Tapas menu prepared by Pan&Cake, we will enjoy live tango music and a performance featuring local tango artists, Joe Grohens and Carlota Bullard.
Want to learn the basics of this globally famed dance? After Joe and Carlota perform, in this lively, judgment-free zone, we’ll begin to master some steps on the dance floor.
Of course, a drink or two (or your mocktail of choice) helps to break the ice when trying something new or outside of your comfort zone. We’ll have plenty!
Have two left feet? No worries, Joe and Carlota have taught tango throughout Central Illinois for more than twenty years. They have put hundreds of tango dancers on the dance floor!
Have some concerns and you just want to watch people learn the tango? We’ve got you covered. The cash bar will remain open!
Dress Suggestion is Smart Casual (but be yourself and be comfortable!) If you intend to learn to dance the tango, wear skirts/dresses/pants that allow you to move freely and take large steps if necessary.
